Weekend Outlook: North Florida Speedway

Saturday night at North Florida Speedway, the United Dirt Late Model Series will come in to town to bring a night of late model excitement. The $3000 to win payout has drivers coming from all around to capture the payday. Drivers expected to be in attendance are, Johnny Collins, Jason Fitzgerald, Brandon Dewitt, Jay Johnson, and Mark Whitener to name a few. The last race for the series was also held at North Florida Speedway on July 21st and the 50 lap $3000 to win feature was won by Jack Nosbisch and had Tyeler Ivey finishing in the second position. Points leader Keith Nosbisch is ahead of second place driver Christian Augspurger by 130 points in the standings. Third place is Mark Whitener followed by, Kyle VanSickle and Ryan VanSickle. All of these drivers are expected to show and bring the heat to Nosbisch. The year is closing in and these guys are trying to take all they can get.
North Florida Speedway will also be running Mini Sprints, Pure Stocks, and Box Stox. Pure Stock driver Shane Taylor has had a strong run the last two races but is sure to have strong competition from Andy Olson and Rick Reed. These three have had consistent top 6 finishes and look to keep their streaks going. The Box Stox division always brings a large car count with as many as 20 cars showing up to race. Mini Sprints are also coming to North Florida Speedway and are as always a fast paced, nail biting time. These cars have fans on the edge of their seats with their tendency to flip which can be caused by them driving wide open around the track.
Owners Liz and Phil Guardagno have been working all week on the track by digging it up about a foot due to the heat making the track harder and packing it in. After a successful weekend last weekend with the Summer Slam, this weekend is going to be a continuation of packed stands and full pits. North Florida Speedway has no plans of slowing down anytime soon and has many more jam packed races planned on their schedule. It's always about keeping fans and drivers happy. If you need additional information, you can check their website for more details. If you want to come see an action packed Saturday night, North Florida Speedway is where you can find it.
